Office Hours:
|
We are mindful of the need for extended hours as these days, it is increasingly difficult to be available between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and for some patients, every Monday to Friday. That is why we offer some evenings and Saturdays. We hope these expanded hours can assist our patients with their busy schedules.
|
| Appointment Times: |
We see all patients an appointment basis, and ask that you call in advance so that we may reserve time for you. We respect you time and make every effort to remain on schedule. We ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. To avoid fees for broken appointments, we require 48 hours notice if you are unable to honour the time reserved for you.
|
| Emergency Care: |
We recognize that emergency situations do arise and will do everything in our power to respond to you as quickly as possible. Please call the office as early in the day as possible to help us accommodate you. If an emergency arises while the office is closed, our answering machine will always provide the phone number to an after-hours emergency clinic. If you emergency arises while the office is open, you will be seen as quickly as possible.
|
| Fees and Payments: |
We make every effort to keep the costs down while maintaining the highest level of professional care. You can help by paying for treatment in full at the time of your visit, and in turn, if you have dental insurance, we will assist you in filing your claims for your reimbursement.
For you convenience, we accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, Direct Debit, Cash or Cheque.
|
| Dental Insurance: |
At our Centre, the majority of the patients seeking dental care have some type of “dental insurance”. It is a wonderful thing to have. We often refer to insurance as “dental assistance” as dental benefits may not necessarily cover 100% of you dentistry.
Unlike medical insurance, dental insurance is designed to pay only a portion of the cost of dental treatment. Your employer has made this coverage available to you, and the type of benefit you receive depends upon what type of contract was chosen with the insurance company. A dental plan is nothing more than a contract between the employer and the insurance to partially pay for certain services. There may be deductibles, and some procedures are paid on a percentage basis, while others may not be covered at all.
It is a well-known face within the industry that a higher premium paid by the employer will result in more comprehensive coverage. We are an uninvolved third party to this contract. |
